Meet Dr. Tricia Tran

Dr. Tran loves what she does! Her boys adoringly call her "Doctor Mom!". Being a mother of two young sons, her firm belief is that she will deliver your children the dental care they deserve in the most loving, maternal way. She had served on the Board of Directors of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and also served as an adjunct professor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA.

Born into a family where both parents were dentists, Dr. Tran also decided to pursue dentistry as a lifetime profession. Dr. Tran has received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree with Magna Cum Laude and University Honors from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree also with Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. During her studies at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Tricia Tran received numerous prestigious awards including the Pierre Fauchard Research Award, a First Place in Research from Densply International, the Senior Award of Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology, the Senior Award from Dentistry Prosthodontics and a Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Dental Craniofacial Research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Tran went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Temple University Children's Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon completion, she received the "Clinician Award" in recognition of her significant contributions to the program.

She is an Active Member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is also currently an active Member and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Tran, her husband and her two sons are living in Fairfax Station, Virginia. She enjoys movies, volleyball, tennis and fund-raising for local organizations. Dr. Tran also volunteers annually at Give-Kids-a-Smile program in Springfield, VA where she provides pro-bono dental services to many under-privileged children. Dr. Tran is a great believer in giving back to the communities, therefore she holds an annual "LEND-A-HAND" day at her private clinic to provide the much needed, free dental treatments for children of low income families. She annually donates to various charities and organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Special Olympics, Toys for Tots, the Friends of Barnabas Foundation, local homeless shelters, etc. Dr. Tran also sponsors many children and local schools for their various children's activities. Each February, Dr. Tran and staff provide dental education to local children at Terra Centre Elementary school, Union Mill Elementary school, London Towne Elementary school, Eagle View Elementary school, KinderCare Learning Centers, etc. She volunteers to judge projects submitted by high school students for the Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair.
