Dr. Tran loves what she does! Her boys adoringly call her 'Doctor Mom!'. Being a mother of two sons, her firm belief is that she will deliver your children the dental care they deserve in the most loving, maternal way. She served on the Board of Directors of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and also served as an adjunct professor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA.
Her passion for dentistry started at an earlier age. Born into a family where both parents were dentists, Dr. Tran also decided to pursue dentistry as a lifetime profession. Dr. Tran has received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Magna Cum Laude and University Honors from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery also with Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. During her studies at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Tricia Tran received numerous prestigious awards including the Pierre Fauchard Research Award, a First Place in Research from Densply
International, the Senior Award of Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology, the Senior Award from Dentistry Prosthodontics and a Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Dental Craniofacial Research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Tran went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Temple University Children's Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon completion, she received the 'Clinician Award' in recognition of her significant contributions to the program.
She is an Active Member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is also currently an active Member and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Tran, her husband, her two sons and her beloved dog, Bon Bon, are living in Fairfax Station, Virginia. She enjoys watching Netflix, yoga, swimming, fund-raising and volunteering for many non-profit organizations. Dr. Tran is an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 904G in the area. She volunteers her time to help guide youths in the Scouting program. She volunteers at the Mission of Mercy project in Bealeton, VA where she provides pro-bono dental services to many low income families. She annually donates to various charities around Northern Virginia and overseas organizations such as the Agent Love and the Metta Dak Lak Foundation to help underprivileged children in Vietnam. She also volunteers her time with the World Health Ambassador, providing medical and dental services in developing countries in Asia.
